Ranbar SW-1220 peach pink thermochromic pigment. It can change color with temperature variations. It shows peach pink at low temperatures. When the temperature rises, the color disappears and it becomes colorless. After cooling, it can return to peach pink. Because it can change color repeatedly, it is called reversible thermochromic pigment. Ruimba thermochromic pigment is easy to use and has a wide range of applications. It can be widely used in fields such as plastics, water-based/oil-based printing inks, water-based/oil-based coatings, etc., such as plastic injection, plastic extrusion, ceramic mugs, textile printing and dyeing, advertising and promotional materials, children's toys, plastic soft spoons, fever patches, lipsticks, heat transfer stickers, printed products, etc.

For plastics/plastics: It can be used for injection molding and extrusion of transparent or semi-transparent plastics such AS polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), soft polyvinyl chloride (S-PVC), AS and ABS. It can also be mixed with unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin, organic glass or nylon monomers for casting, molding and curing to form.
For coating: Suitable for surface coating of various plastic products, including ABS, PE, PP, PS, PVC, EVA and other plastic materials, etc.
For ink: Suitable for all types of printing, including screen, gravure and letterpress printing, and can be printed on various materials, including textiles, paper, synthetic films, glass, ceramics and wood, etc.
The design of temperature-sensitive color-changing products focuses on the color change between high-temperature and low-temperature environments, and is mostly applied to the series of products that can sense human body temperature. They can also be used as fever patches and various anti-counterfeiting designs.
Precautions
Thermochromic pigments themselves are an unstable system (stable means difficult to change), so their lightfastness, heat resistance and aging resistance are inferior to those of ordinary pigments. Attention should be paid during use.
Lightfastness: The lightfastness of temperature-sensitive pigments is relatively poor. They will quickly fade and lose their effectiveness when exposed to strong sunlight. Therefore, they are only suitable for indoor use. Strong sunlight and ultraviolet light exposure should be avoided, as this is beneficial for extending the service life of color-changing pigments.
Heat resistance: The temperature-sensitive pigment can withstand a high temperature of 230ºC for a short period of time (about 10 minutes), and can be applied in injection molding and high-temperature curing. However, the thermal stability of thermochromic pigments is different in the development state and the achromatic state. The stability of the former is higher than that of the latter. In addition, when the temperature exceeds 80ºC, the organic substances that constitute the color-changing system will also start to degrade. Therefore, temperature-sensitive pigments should avoid long-term operation at temperatures above 75ºC.
Do not use highly polar solvents such as methanol and ethanol to avoid affecting the internal environment of the coating due to osmosis, thereby influencing the color-changing performance. If there are high-temperature processes, it is recommended that the processing temperature does not exceed 220 degrees and the processing time does not exceed 30 minutes. Adding heat stabilizers, reducing the processing temperature or shortening the high-temperature processing time can all help improve the color change performance of the final product.
Thermochromic pigments should be stored in a cool, dry and completely dark place.
